Open-source multi-currency wallet with strong Monero support

About Cake Wallet

Cake Wallet is an open-source, non-custodial wallet that started as a Monero wallet and grew into a multi-currency app. It keeps private keys on your device, ships a seed phrase you write down yourself, and covers Monero, Bitcoin, Litecoin, Ethereum and several other chains from a single interface.

Swaps are built into the app through third-party providers, so converting between supported assets does not require an exchange account. Because the code is public, the client can be audited independently — but the exchange rates and limits you see inside the app come from external providers, so check them before a large conversion.

Pros

  • Open source and non-custodial — keys stay on your device
  • Strong Monero support alongside Bitcoin and other chains
  • Swaps between supported assets without an exchange account
  • Available on iOS, Android and desktop

Cons

  • In-app swap rates come from third-party providers
  • The multi-chain feature set can feel dense for a first wallet
