I used Changelly first time today and am completely satisfied. I made an error with my first attempt, but second and third attempts were successful and very fast with low fees. And support helpfully transferred my funds from my first unsuccessful attempt manually to my wallet, so what else you can desire! :)btw, I have no idea why people complain here about KYC. I got no KYC whatsoever.

Will randomly flag you for KYC, after accepting your funds, and will not return them until you complete KYC.The KYC process is quite invasive and asks for proof of source of funds such as bank accounts and exchange accounts as well as id and selfie. I know this is the law, but they should KYC BEFORE they take your funds instead of holding your funds hostage.To be fair, I did many transactions until I got caught out by this. I respondeded with all the requested info immediately and yet they still haven't released my funds. It's been hours....

On 1/21/22, I sent large amount of crypto from private wallet to Changelly to swap. I was told I needed detailed KYC to approve transaction. I have Uploaded KYC and also a selfie. The system tells me the United States is in a restricted location. Strange because I have used Changelly in the past without any issues until today! I have requested a refund If my transaction cannot be processed. It's very painful because it is my hard earned money but I am hopeful customer service will respond and refund or process my transaction! I will be sure to give an update when I hear back from customer service.UPDATE:Both customer support and security department responded to my request! Unfortunately, my account has been blocked for now due to location restriction. However, I received my full refund and I'm looking forward to working with them the minute they can do business in my region. I will change this review from a 2 to a 4 star

UPDATE: Hi all, to be fair to the support team. While they did take 7 hours from my initial exchange request to getting resolved...it did eventually get resolved and my ETH was exchanged into my wallet with no further issues.On that front, I can't fault Changelly so have revised my rating from 1 to 4 stars. It would have been 5 stars if it wasn't for the initial hassle.********************************************Hi everyone.Please be very careful when dealing and exchanging with Changelly.I opted to exchange BTC for ETH on their platform via my Ledger wallet and while the BTC has been taken from my wallet...I have NOT been exchanged the ETH.They ask for extensive (more than is necessary) 'KYC' documents and seemingly the customer service department still hasn't resolved my case.I will update this review if they can help resolve my case in point. However, as it stands, a very bad experience.
